You may have seen this one coming in our behind-the-scenes section, and it's finally here!
Vân and I are huge peanut lovers. I have peanut butter on my oatmeal every morning, and she could eat a whole package of coated peanuts in one sitting. So when we started thinking about creating a twist on traditional tiramisu, a peanut version came to mind right away.
This tiramisu (I hear you, it's far from the traditional one) is as decadent as it gets. Think peanut butter blended into the "mascarpone" cream, a thin layer of salted caramel sauce, a peanut sponge cake, and a generous dusting of crushed peanuts. It really can't get more peanutty than that.
Now, if you need a couple more reasons to give it a try, here you go!
- 300% Peanuts. Peanut butter in the cream, peanut butter in the sponge, and crushed peanuts on top. If you love peanuts, you're going to be very happy here!
- It slices beautifully. No messy, collapsing tiramisu here. The cream stays put when you slice it, giving you nice layers while remaining soft and creamy.
- Easy to put together. There are just 3 components: the salted caramel sauce, the peanut sponge cake, and the "mascarpone" cream. Make the caramel ahead, prepare the other two, layer everything in a baking dish, and let it chill overnight. That's it!
